  • Sleep Sound Gatefold CD
Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album

Sleep Sound CD in a beautiful gatefold custom made wallet - designed in house and printed on recycled card. Go on, treat yourself.

As usual it's pay what you want or pay what you think it's worth...the minimum price of £1.60 literally only covers the cost of the physical production of the CD and you get a link to the download with your receipt so you can download and listen straight away! We want people to have this album, to enjoy it and to share it around but obviously we're also trying to make ends meet. So if you're not so flush at the moment just pay the £1.60...or just download the digital version below for whatever you want to pay. Even free - we don't even ask for your email address.

If you feel moved to maybe float us a bit more then as ever, we do very much appreciate it. It's a fairly simple equation... your money makes this music.

lyrics

I've been down for seven days without my fields or songs of praise.
(Rolling sideways, rolling sideways)
Snuffling here in bed I lie with the TV as my only guide.
(Rolling sideways, rolling sideways again)

Maybe it's this blasted tincture but I see no real distinction,
(Rolling sideways, rolling sideways)
Between the bombs and the mass infection and the adverts selling loan protection.
(Rolling sideways, rolling sideways)

And the wind howls so hard...
And the rain pounds at my door...

I'm longing for the good old days when Brillo scrubbed our wrongs away.
(Rolling sideways, rolling sideways)
And ignorance was pursued with ardour and the sex and lies kept in the larder.
(Rolling sideways, rolling sideways)

I think I've found a clear opinion of the best way we can face oblivion.
(Rolling sideways, rolling sideways)
It's with your socks pulled up and your braces tight and your lip kept stiff and your humour dry.
(Rolling sideways, rolling sideways)

And the wind howls so hard...
And the rain pounds at my door...
And where is she, in our hour of need?
Oh Queenie won't you comfort me?

So we'll gather up our family, gather up our friends,
Gather up the ones we think we want to perish with...

And the wind howls so hard...
And the rain pounds at my door...
And where is she, in our hour of need?
Oh Queenie won't you comfort me?

about

Hope and Social Leeds

In the tradition of the travelling bands, we guess we’re a bit like a Yorkshire E-Street Band...meets Arcade Fire...meets The Faces…meets Dexys Midnight Runners…meets Prefab Sprout…at a party...in an argument about who gets to have sex with David Bowie. We're not as good at describing ourselves as others are, so...
